"Therapy Education" Creating Miserable Students

The British press is showing increased interest in its crumbling education system, as shown in the coverage of a new book by two British professors. The book - The Dangerous Rise of Therapeutic Education - due next month, claims that teaching has turned into therapy which is "destroying the minds of children, young people and adults". This also seems to be the case in the United States. Dr. Hayes, one of the two authors, says that "children are becoming neurotic and introverted. The more you obsess about your difficulties, the harder they are to put behind you." Here is some of the press coverage: The Guardian, The Times, The Telegraph, The Daily Mail.

Greetings,

I don't mean to spam your post but after randomly 'googling' the term 'infantilization', I read your 'about' description and thought you may very well enjoy the talks of Alan Watt (not to be confused with Alan Watts) at Cutting Through the Matrix. He gives a 45 minute talk every weekday and if you look him up through his iTunes podcast, you'll have access to all his talks.

He is a geo-political researcher although he covers all areas of interest to those who haven't allowed themselves to be dumbed down by modern society.

Check him out if you like. Regards
